Physics in racing

I am currently working on my physics reasearch final. I was hoping on doing it on something racing related. So, i was wondering if any of yall that race know of any books or articles that talk about the physics aspet of suspension tuning (possibly formulas and stuff) or aerodynamics.

any help would be greatly appreciated

well the mr2 is a great car to involve physics and driving. you should create something to do with momentum/inertial balancing while cornering. there are good threads u can find on www.mr2oc.com. look under drifters anonymous etc.

there are plenty of such books. i believe there's a book available @ barnes and noble booksellers called performance handling. i believe there are formulas and such. hell, for that reason, there are books there on NASCRAP suspension set-ups.

When I tell people I'm into high performance driving they usually assume I mean drag racing. I englighten them by telling 'em that not only do I like to turn, but I like to turn both left and right.
