Exclamation SW20 Understanding motors. Please help.

Hey.
All right my Toyota buddies. I work on Hondas I know everything I need to know about there motors with N/A set ups and turbo set ups… The thing is I have a best friend with a N/A MR2 SW20. I love the car and I love the way it drives. We have been thinking about a lot more power because he knows he can handle it. He has been thinking about a JDM Turbo 3S-GTE with 220hp? Now I know with B18’s and well If wanted could make a block handle 750hp + Now with the swap and Install for a 3S-GTE its around $4000 from MR2 warehouse is it? Idk. Anyways I could get the block for a B18 built like that is around $3000. Can I build a 3S-GTE, 5S-FE, block to handle 750hp like my Honda blocks for $3000 or less?

Okay I also really need to know a lot more about the 3S-GTE motors and N/A 5S-FE Motor. I can rebuild the 5S-FE he has…. Can we boost that motor? Is it the same motor at all just not nothing is forged??? Is the 5S-FE the same as the 3S-GE? Or is the 3S-GTE the same as the 3S-GE??? Just not forged? Can someone please help me out here I’ve been checking the forums for days now but I really don’t see much talk about any of my questions… hey if anyone doesn’t understand what I’m trying to say here IM me on AIM at MANIACH4X, thanks.

these questions have been asked a 1000 times . but i will save you the trouble of a thorough earch. The MR2 N/A engine is not a good candidate for turboing or big HP. You can take the 3sgte as far as you want as long as you are willing to fork out the cash. It's a great platform for building power. JeckylandHyde, Turbonator both running alot of HP in their 2's. Turbonator has a great post he made recently with some good info.http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t116618.html
