i need to find a good shop to rebuild ecm on my mr2 - engine control computer (part 89661-17721). a new part is $1000 but rebuilding costs around $300. i looked around online and there are some places but i can't find any reviews or opinions on any of them. i appreciate any help or advice.

Go to your local dismantler.

i can't put in a used ECM because the security in ECM is tide to the security in the key. a local toyota dealer tried that but could not get it to start. also the places i asked about rebuilding said they could not get into ECM because of the same security reason. so far looks like it's gonna be a thousand bucks for me.
