tein engine damper

i was checking to see if anyone had any experience with them. i saw one on a jdm clip and was wondering if it made any significant difference. everytime i shift at the dragstrip (full boost and high rpm) i swear i can fell the engine move. it might just be the instant loss of torque though.

i also have the kirkosaurus ones. i like them too. i just installed a ct27 (up from a ceramic ct26) as well as some other "bigger" mods so i am expecting that sensation to be a bit more at the track this year.

its a hydraulic shock that goes from the engine to some part on the body. its not stock. i think drifting dane has one that came on his jdm clip.

keck, do you have link to this item?

I have the TRD motor mounts with the Kirkasaurus motor mounts and I am using a VMAX engine torsion bar. My engine doesn't move

about halfway down on left. clip installed for drifting dane.

j&h how do you like that vmax bar? i was following along with it but sometimes people that overtightened had issues.

does the trd ones make the car shake bad?

How do you know that is a tein piece?
I did not see it on their site.

I can't believe someone would cut the rear TRD bar like that!
ouch

I am quite pleased with the VMAX bar.
I haven't had any issues so far.

My car is very stiff and it does rumble (especialy with the cam idle), but I would not say that it 'shakes." I find it perfectly fine and would have no issue taking it on a long trip.

If I was driving a reasonably-horsepowered car I would just:

get all 4 TRD mounts if my engine mounts were original and I had a lot of miles

Or

get the Kirk inserts if the mounts themselves are not that old.

Hey sorry im late into this. Yes tein does make engine torque dampers (saw them on some japanese website, but not since). I do have some decent vibration at idle, but nothing i wouldnt sacrifice over and over again to get practically no wheelhop and engine movement.

Take into account though that i also have TRD motor mounts in my car. I would get the peice Hyde has for racing purposes (mine is probably more forgiving on the street though).
