Disabling MAF sensor

i was actually thinking about buying a turbohoses r&d "the bomb" intake which disables the mass air flow sensor, which starves the turbo of air. i was wondering how i would go about disabling the maf?

The MAF/AFM does not starve the turbo of air.
It's not much of a restriction at all.

The only way to get rid of the AFM is to install and HKS VPC (good luck with the variability of performance from it) or go to a complete stand-alone EMS.

So there is no performance gain through disabling MAF? If not, whats the point in disabling it?

Around 300 rwhp or so, you start exceeding the AFM's ability to accurately tell the ECU what is goin on. So beyond that, in order to get a proper air/fuel ratio, you are going to need another way to measure air flow.

If the AFM becomes a restriction, it is well beyond 300 rwhp which is where it's not needed anyway.

The main reasons people want to get rid of the AFM is because it is ugly and because they are under the misconception (assumption) that it is a huge restriction to air flow.
