Custom header question??

I khow a guy who can make custom headers for like $200 for any car .But i whanted to know what is the best material for making a racing header.Some one told me titanium is the best others say ceramic. and what size should the holes in the tube be like 3" 4"???. THX!!!

I hope the guy truly understands the workings of headers before he just makes them. unless he has data to back up his work I would worry.

Never mind the cost.
Do you know how hard it is to properly weld Ti?

Sine you have 91 turbo I'll assume you are talking about the exhaust manifold the goes to the turbo. If this is the case I would say that at a bare minimun it should be made out of either 316SST or even better 321SST.
Just material alone will soak up your $200 budget.

If you really want to go budget you could have one made out of mild/carbon steel.
But it will need to be ceramic coated or it will rust out.
