burning scent from engine bay

ever since my car has come from the paint shop i get this burning scent similar to a burning plastic coming from the engine bay. it definatly starts smelling after i have come from a drive that has involved any form of building boost.

did paint get on your exhaust? maybe plastic, or tape... I wouldn't think it's a coincident that this happened right after you got you car back from them...

my car had the same problem, but I found out it was because of the valve cover gasket was cracked and oil was spitting onto my engine and turbo. So that was where my burning smell came from. Just giving you my experience.

hey bey if your car was to burn down (GOD FORBID) give me the rims!! ha ha no am just kidding maybe paint got on the exhaust manifold! on sunday i will come by u and we will clean your engine just buy the degreaser!

yea some paint got on my exhaust. but the scent comes directly from the motor so i will clean it up and check for oil spills in query of MR.2Lanes experiences. hey clem dont u get oil spills at times? do u get this scent?
