20v blacktop

Today I went to my local japanese engine place in search for the 4age s/c. they didn't have it damn....they had a lot of those 20 v black top's though, around 550 for the engine and tranny. with NO ECU or wirying....I was thikning of getting that instead for the Mr2. Dad says it's going to be a headache trying to connect or find the ECU and the wirying for my Mr2. Is it that hard to swap a 20 v blacktop in a '87 Mr2?
The tranny is way different than the tranny my mr2 has, (gear switch is on the other side...)

most of these motors should have a cut/partial harness.. that part they cut supposedly runs through the firewall and right into the ecu (4 plugs). 3 ecu plugs and one cabin plug. if you can find an ecu, you can simply lengthen the wires after you've mapped out the plugs that came off the ecu. the next thing you should be concerned is the map sensor, but those are commonly found on other toyota models. the coil is the same as ae92 gts and the ignitor is the same as sw20 3sgte unit. have fun! if you need wiring help, kp61_ryan can fab a plug and play harness for your mr2 if you can send him your partial/cut harness and some money
