line in between Intk manifold and map sensor?

i noticed the vacumm line inbetween the intake manifold and the map sensor (the sensor next to the diagnostic port) has a jet in the middle of it. in my mannual there is no sign of a jet designed to be there. is the jet there on any one elses car?

Do you have the turbo model?

If so, there is nothing from the factory on that line.
It just is a direct vac line from the manifold to the MAP.

Some people cork that line to get rid of fuel cut.
What do you mean by a "jet."

Does your factory boost gauge work?
All the MAP sensor does is control fuel cut and the OEM boost gauge.

yes, its a 91t with the tdo6 on it. my mannual calls the little circular plastic thing ( like the one on the vacum line going to the by pass valve) a jet. i just bought a boost gauge and i used the line going to the map sensor for the gauges source and all it gives is vacum. but ill put a straight line on and see what will happen.

It sounds like they put in a check-valve.
It allows air flow one way, but not the other.
I would say to get rid of it.
