Header leak..

Scince i bought my MR2 he had 2 little holes right where the weld of the external wastegate joins to the header. So i was at the strip racing(what a miracle ) and I miss 4th
and somehow get 2nd and my rpms go well beyond 8,000 and now I got the little holes on the weld expelling a good amount of air and my car cant hold 15 psi to read line. i get 15 psi for about 1 second and at 5,700 it goes back to 12-13psi. so should i just get the holes weld up(they are very small) or buy a new racing header .THX!!!

First of all, it is called exhaust manifold, not header.
You should fix the manifold.
What turbo are you running?
I'm also wondering what size and where the missing metal piece from the manifold went?
If it went to the turbo, it might chip the turbine wheel.

well i am using the ct-26 is stock and the exhaust manifold didnt lose anything , it just has 2 little holes where the external wastegate joins the manifold so i will just weld the 2 holes.

CT26 and external wastegate?
Did you weld the stock wastegate shut?
Anyway, may be it is the tubo that causes the boost drop.

Yeah, I missed shifting from 4th to 2nd once in my old 97 Prelude. It shot the RPMS to an insane level and caused the pistons to kiss the valves. I had to pull it apart and fried 2 pistons, 8 valves and the seals around everything. Your problem might be more than just your exhaust manifold.
::EDIT I don't know any reason why your stock turbo should ahve an external wastegate. Seem sketchy, so that setup could also spawn problems.
