Need help w/ ignition....

Hi all, please help me with this issue....
When I turn the key to ignition, everything seems fine(what should be on turns on) but when I try to start the car, is seems like the battery is instantly wiped out, lost all power. Once in a while I get lucky and that doesn't happen, I have eliminated alternator/charger because the batter works fine when it doesn't wipe it out. I'm thinking a short or wires exposed somewhere.....any help would be great. thanks!!!

P.s. I have a 92 N/A

Have you had the battery tested? A battery on it's way out will do wonky stuff like this.

Thanks for the suggestion, I already found the problem. Embarrassed to say so, but the problem was only because of a loose battery connector. so problem fixed. hehehee.
