How reliable are A/T's in MR2's?

I am considering getting a MR2 for my daughter. She wants an automatic transmission. How bullet-proof are they in the MR2's? Any reliability issues I should know about?

i had an AT in my 92 celica, and it was in good condicion, after a yearof driving hard with it it fail, and after it i made my celica stick shift!!!
