The turbo's E153 takes 4.4 quarts, IIRC.

I used synchromesh in my S54 (NA tranny) and it caused my synchros to wear faster, which eventually resulted in grinding and notchy shifting. I'm not sure why it did what it did.

Always use a GL-5 rated gear oil.

i think we should finally clear up the use of MT90

we need a 75W90 product, which is GL-5. however, MT90 is GL-4 rated. it works great, but if we are gonna use a redline product, get 75W90NS. it is the GL-5 rated product

synchromesh its almost the same as synchromax from purple royal! so ill change my oil then, wich its sad because it was 11$ a quart . i will have to buy the mt90 from the internet i guess, cause havent found it at the stores, is my trany safe for about 4-5 wekks with my current oil?

Just buy some Mobil 1 75W-90 full synthetic. That stuff works great too, is easier to find, and is GL-5 rated for maximum synchro life. I give it my full recommendation. On a transmission with over 200,000 miles, the shifts were buttery smooth.
