car stutter???

HI GUYS I NEED SOME HELP HERE..i got my 91 mr2 swap with a 93 turbo just a couple months ago..the first few months, the car runs great..then here comes the problem..in the morning when i start the car it doesn't start right away..it turn on then shuts off..i have to start it again then it start..ti happenes everytime i started it in the morning..then the worst part is it stutter..it just doenst want to go..then after about 5-10 minuts of driving then its back to normal..is it bc the turbo is still cold?..there is another prolem...if i drive it n pull it a lot..the engine or soemthing puts out a HISSING sound..sounds like air or something is leaking..i can't seem to find the souce of the sound..help me out guys..thanks

the turbo does need to heat up. even though temp gauge says engine is warmed up, the turbo needs to be hotter. you don't want to get on it until then. does it make the hissing sound at idle? or just under boost?

Sounds like a healthy vac leak somewhere in your system.
Start checking your intercooler hoses, the BOV ... make sure the big hose that connects to the front of the turbo is nto cracked.

Vacuum leaks seem to be the issue of the month. How can you track vacuum leaks down other than visual inspection?

it might be a vacume leak like u said..you can hear the hissing sound after i pull it a lot...that sound will stay there as long as i drive it..but if i drive normally then nothing happened

you can buy a smoke machine for $1000.00 or you can try and find a good mechanic that has one! used one today! worked awesome!!!!!!!
