Any SW20 in good shape should be snapped up. It's already hard to find one in good shape that's reasonably priced. Rare sunroof and hardtop models are always a good find but I don't think they're necessarily 'better'.

Better for what exactly?

It's a matter of personal preference for the most part.
I prefer T-tops.

If you are looking for maximum performance, that would come from the hard tops.

I think the T-Tops are cooler and more fun to cruise arouind in.I love mine and wouldn't want it any other way.. but I would think the hard top offers a more ridged body and alittle less weight. how much less I don't know... just my opinion

I used black silicon on my ttops and it worked like a charm! just spread it on there as smooth as possible where it is leaking and wait for it to dry.

okay, maybe i should have said "some" instead "most", but i do believe all t-top will eventually leak as rubbers get old..

Probably, but it's not the best of reasons to dismiss an MKII, just because it has T-tops. The poster stated a '93+ MKII hardtop but no specificity on trim. Turbo hardtops are very difficult to find in '91-'92, they're extremely rare in '93. Much better choice if he goes for an N/A.

Or you could just replace the seals. Doesn't www.kbox.ca sell 'em?
