2nd Generation battery light

hey i just got done rebuilding my alternator and now the battery light shows up...it was working fine without the battery light for a while and it just showed up yesterday...does anybody know what this could mean?

My guess is the alternator is not recharging the battery for some reason.

I dont really know....everything is working fine....my car starts and runs fine....the volt meter on my guages is normal.....

Is the car drivable? If so bring it to your local autoparts store like kragen or autozone. They provide free testing. They can pinpoint what portion of your charging system is bad.

uhhh.....yea my car runs fine...i just found out today that when i turn on my headlights the battery light goes off.....free testing on what? I already tested the battery and the alternator and they were both good.......
