I kind of disagree with you on the the bad part. Healthy competition should help lower the price of the intercoolers from greddy to compete. From the looks of it, quality seems on par to the Greddy at almost a fraction of the cost. I don't think we should pay some much for performance parts just because it has a big name stamped on it.

Company A

Then they
buy parts and

Then they determine a fair market price on what they have

They are competing with their OWN
individual products/designs.
EXAMPLE 2
Company A

invested with a reasonable expectation of making a profit.
Company B
buys Company A's intercooler.
Then they
pay people in China, India, etc ... to
COPY IT with inferior materials.
Then they determine market price based on what they have
invested with a reasonable expectation of making a profit.
They are competing with Company A's products/designs.
You REALLY think that EXAMPLE 2 is
Healthy competition?!
