i may be having this done to my ct-26 rebuilt with a bigger compessor wheel but the guys at the shop doing my engine swap said it can break easy because the shaft is alot smaller then it should be for the power it can put down

this is why i may be investing into a total new upgraded turbo from them witch was proven to support over 560hp

I would let a competent machine shop experienced with turbo chargers do it.. after the rebuild the shaft MUST be balanced. turbos can reach 100k rpms...the clearance for both compressor wheel and turbine wheel is critical

I think your info is wrong with the assumption that you can reach 560 HP with a modified CT26. the turbine side of the turbo is just to small and restrictive to flow that much exhaust...

o..i must have typed bad (what a suprize) i ment that i will either rebuild my ct-26 or buy a new turbo

o btw yes you do need special tools to do it right, you can probly find bigger compressor whels on ebay, and yes you will need to make the trim bigger on the turbo to make it fit right (this is very touchy and why you bring it to specialist so it is done right )
