2000 rpm rev limiter

I got a problem here! LOL I can't go above 2000 rpm's!

I thought maybe it was because i had some water on my plug wires but dried them off and still have the problem. It just rained here a little bit so the engine bay was kinda wet. It drove fine for about 1/4 mile then started doing this crazy shit!

I hit 2000rpm and the fuel or spark cuts out for a second. It's like a rev limiter at 2k...

Any ideas??? I hope!!!!

hmmmm..... Have you try feathering the gas pedal or floor it when it does this?

yep! i can feather it under 2k and it's fine! if i floor it, it's like it hits a rev limiter at 2k. No matter what i do it will not go beyond 2k! I'm lost. I'm thinking about reseting the ecu, to see if that takes care of it, but i still would like to find out what started it...

It's gotta be something electrical.
