Stupid turbo timer

I installed my Greddy Turbo Timer. Pretty sure it's a Gen 3 (OLD) one. But it SHOULD serve it's purpose. However, I hooked it all up, used the harness and everything. Hooked up the e-brake wire to the only wire coming off the e-brake. But as soon as I turn the car off, it doesn't count down. Car just turns off. Any ideas?

What position of the e-brake when you switch the key off?
It must be pulled all the way up. (e-brake must be engaged so the TT can countdown)
If that doesn't help, does the TT function normal without connecting the e-brake wire?

It counted down when I first tested before I connected the e-brake, when the car was NOT started, just key in ON position. And it counted down normally. But then I connected the e-brake, and it stopped counting down.

The TT doesn't need connecting of the e-brake wire in order to work.
But if you prefer to connect it, you have to engage the e-brake everytime you want to countdown.
It's just a safety feature.

Yeah, I know about the feature. However, it doesn't work when when connected to the e-brake. So i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why it would stop working as soon as I connected the e-brake.

This might help?
Otherwise, just forget the e-brake wire.

there are two wires (or there should be) coming form the side of the e brake handle, perhaps you connected it to the wrong wire?

I guess it could be possible that I connected it to the wrong wire. When I pulled off the center cover and revealed the linkage, there was only only wrapped wire coming from the e-brake. When I cut open the wrap that was covering that small bundle, there only looked to be one wire...either red with black stripe or black with red stripe. I can't remember. But since I only saw one, I didn't bother running a voltmeter on it, I just assumed it was the right one. Guess I could be wrong.

*EDIT: There is only ONE wire I could find connected to the e-brake, and it was red with a black stripe. It connects to the button that the e-brake hits when it's in the 'down' position that I assume makes the light 'brake' light in the gauge cluster turn on and off. Is that the right one?

Hmmm, i was wondering how you fixed the problem because the engine seems the shut off normally when the key is turned off. I think i might have mixed up the wires too but still doesnt work. Any solutions?
