MR2 Starter problem
Hello, I have a 1991 MR2 turbo, and it takes a while to start the car, like when I turn the key to the start position with the clutch all the way down, nothing happens, just a silent hum sound, and along with the sound, the engine compartment light comes on while trying to start it. Then after cycling the key about 15-20 times more the engine cranks over and starts up normally. I am thinking that there is a voltage drop in the starter solenoid, but does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
