91 oilpan and sunshade

I just bought a 91 and noticed the oil pan seems to be leaking pretty badly. This seems ez enough to change...anyone have any comments??

Also, I noticed I am missing the sunshade for my pop-up sun roof and was wondering if anyone has a good source for that..

When you do your oil pan you'll need gasket maker, cause I'm pretty sure there is no replacement gasket, and MAKE SURE YOU LOOK UP THE TORQUE SPECS!!! The specs are pretty light.

^^ There is no factory gasket but there are cork gaskets available. Do NOT use the cork gasket, damn thing leaks like crazy.

x2 on make sure you look up the torque spec and use a torque wrench. The oil pan bolts only call for like 7 ft/lbs. I'd look it up but I'm stuck behind a firewall atm :/

The Toyota seal packing (gasket maker) part number is 08826-00080
Don't forget to scrape old gasket off and don't drop oil on the mating surface.
Torque is 4 ft-lbs (48 inch-lbs)

thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it.

My kid works at a Toyota dealer so he is getting some of the parts I need a bit at a time.

This car is good but needs a few things...I just got wires/cap/roter, but dunno about plugs yet. I have run Iridium in my other Toyotas and very happy but not sure if there is a plug that works for this 91 (Non-turbo) engine.

It has been so long since I last drove an MR2....I think 89?

^^ I just use NGK copper plugs in mine and change 'em every other oil change.
