Broken shift cable!

hey all i was goin from 2nd to 3rd when my shifter goes floppy. cant get in any gear took the boot off and the shift line on the right is the only thing movin. i have to go and pick up the car later when i find someone who will help me tow it home and have a closer look at it but until then i figured i'd ask if someone knows where i can get a shift cable from online.

It's fairly common to break a shifter cable ...

I would contacat CraiggieB on mr2.com and just buy a new one.
He sells parts for a Toyota dealer. Tell hime I sent you.

at what part do they usually break from? cuz the lines goin to the gear box are still in tact. me and a friend of mine hoo is a mechanic had a look at it he's sayin its somethin in the box. what mechanism is most probible to be at fault?

that happened to me last year while downshifting on an exit ramp. the cable itself just snapped. replaced it temporarily with a used one. worked fine since.

btw on mine it was the left cable.
