heat shield concerns?

i recently put on my new turbo set up on my deuce and my problem is this... between the new turbo and ext. wastegate, there isnt any room for the main heat shield. is it ok to drive with out it, even if i keep my shifts under 2500 during daily driving?

Are you talking about the heat shield that typically fits over the exhaust manifold or the firewall heat shield?

The one on top of the exhaust manifold is no issue to run without.

I would not want to drive without the firewall heatshield in place.

yep, the heat shield that covers the ex. manifold and part of the turbo. i was mainly concerned with the oil oil line that runs to the turbo and the vacum line that runs to the wastegate. there both exposed to the heat more than anything.
