Ok, I got my 20v swap all done now... but, the exhaust is horrendous. It is 2" crush bent (and has a NINETY DEGREE BEND at one point

) muffler clamped POS... that I paid $300 for... but that's another story.
Anyways, I'd like it a little quieter as it is very raspy and pops when decelerating. Also, I need a catalytic converter for emissions. I don't care if it's loud on acceleration... in fact that'd be sweet, but right now the interior resonance is horrible!
I like how it is set up now though, with the exhaust coming down off the motor and towards the driver's side, going thru a muffler, and out the passenger side. See pic below. I'd like a similar setup (no can just out the back).
So, what size exhaust would be best for my 20v (using the stock 20v header), and what cat and muffler would be good?
