Gen1 brake help aw11

ive got a 85,86,87,88,89 mr2 put together from several cars, i bought it this way but never got the info needed to do simple maint tasks such as BRAKES!! now im in need of some new rotors and have a friend that works in brakes but he is asking me what year it is. he doesnt want to do a lot of reasearch because it is at his job so i was wondering if anyone can help out a fellow toyota loalist. so... is there any way to tell by size? mabey a part number stamp on the rotors/calipers? the car has the rear swaybar (a lot of fun and trouble!!). the previous owner said he swaped the brakes so i know thier not orig.
any help would be greatly appreciated...

87+ front brake rotors are about 1" larger than the 86-85 brakes.

Gen1

thanks but i dont even have a pre87 rotor to examine. is there a rough size in inches or millimeters? i think when i looked closer at them they were about 12 in in diameter. something like that. how about the rears? is there any way to tell on them? like i said its got the rear sway bar , does this help specify a year of brake componenets?

put the rotor on the hub and put the caliper bracket on. other than that, i don't have the rotor size. the swaybar has nothing to do with what brake 'trim' you have or whatever.

this would suck to buy a new set of rotors then have them be the wrong ones! oh well ill call up toyota when they open. btw do you know of mr2oc.com?? whats the deal with the site? i went there to ask the same question, it says there is like 20 people veiwing the suspension/brakes section but it also says that there has never been a post on the forum. i have been a member and still have a working profile and have seen the posts in here, wtf?
