2nd Generation Suspension Advice

I just brought a turbo. The previous owner had Koni adjustable shocks and stock springs. It feels great so far. But I want to drop the car 1 inch because it looks like it is too high in the air. 1 inch drop will be perfect. I did drop my NA 1 inch with the TRD springs and that 1 inch drop made a huge (negative) difference in the ride. It has stock shocks on it. The NA look nice as hell with that drop.

I like the low profile look (smooth), similiar to BMW, not the low rider look and I do not want to lose too much comfort in the ride.

My friend was recommending Tanabe GF210.

Any advice out there?

I have felt the Koni's with Tanabe springs and it's a very streetable combination. As long as comfort is your primary concern then you will be very happy with this combination. If you're looking for something that tends more towards the athletic end of the spectrum you might want to consider a higher spring rate.

Sports car performance suspension doesn't necessarily equate to bumpy ride. in fact, a well tuned suspension will feel as good or better than stock. If a ride is bumpy that means that the suspension is failing to adequetely manage the vehicles relationship with the road and traction potentials are being sacrificed.

A stiffer suspension generally means that a car will transfer less weight, or lean over, less in turns. It also means that the majority of shock absorption has to come from fewer specific places instead of the entire suspension. In short, to get a performance suspension the goal is to match up weight transfer characteristics with your preferences while still providing adequete damping. These goals are attained by planning out suspension components that will work well together.

If you have specific questions about how to go about all that gobbley **** I just wrote I'd be happy to try and answer them.

I am was looking at the GF210 but a little concern because the Spring rate is up to 30% over stock. I would rather have something like the NF210. NF210's spring rate is raised no more than 5% over stock. Of course NF210 is not available for 1991-1995 MR2s.

Do your guys know of any other springs like the NF210 (other brands) and is available for 1991-1995 MR2s?
