Question No Dyno In This Country - other tuning options?

hey guys i think its time to get serious with tuning my car. ive been following mr2controls.com primers and have come to a stop at AFR tuning. without a dyno here i dont trust guesstimating if my car is becoming more effiecient or not. are there any suggestions on other portable tuning devices i cud invest in?

my mods so far

blitz intake
5zigen 2.5" dual catback
xs power side mount intercooler
PCV to atmoshpere
turbo xs MBC
Ogura Racing 6 puck clutch
Currently at 15psi with plugged boost sensor for fuel cut elimination

running 104 octane when i go out to have fun but usually 91 street

i have been thinking of just going as far as i can with efficiency such as water injection without tampering with AFR but i know i will need to if i'm already annoyed with the ct-26's sad midrange and the need for more power.

No Dyno Sure duz Suck

You do not need a dyno to tuen your car.
You need a dyno to measure horsepower and torque.

All you need to tune your car is a wide-band O2 sensor.

when my a/f got tuned on a dyno they stuck a "stick" in the tailpipe to measure the a/f. a wideband would prob be more accurate. make sure you get one with datalogging to record the ratios throughout the rpm range. then if you get something like a safc to clean up the ratios when the boost hits, it should be easy since you have the values.

you hear all the negatives about the safc but i have had no problems using it to tweak some values. i am still running the stock 440s like yourself. i think people run into trouble with their timing when they are using it to control the supra 550.

keck, the "stick" they stuck into your tailpipe lead to a wideband O2 sensor

The SAFC can be used on the turbo MR2 just fine.
The problem is when you use it to mkae "big corrections" and the ECU starts advancing timing on you
