Rim size

I have a 93 GenII and i was wondering the widest size of rims that i can fit underneth the car with a set of 17"s I believe it is 17x9s but i am not sure if i need spacers for that. And what size tire would go on that rim as well? Thanks

well i have 9" in the back and they are just fine. you dont need any spacers. tire size would be in thr front i have 215/40s and in the rear 255/40s. and they are perfect.

i run 17x7 front 17x9 rear the rear fits perfectly. ive even seen 10" fit on sw20's but those are excessive in my opionion. i too have 215/40 front 255/40 Rear tire sizes, you will need to roll fenders or shred your tires in a matter of weeks like i did lol. i went to 245/40 and the staggered setup is perfect
