I've removed the transmission from 1986 MK1 to replace the clutch. The replacement clutch kit came with a couple of different sized pilot bearings and a sleeve however, my crankshaft has nothing installed in the hole; in addition, the input shaft to the transmission does not have a "pilot" on it end; is this the way Toyota designed it?; the input shaft is only supported inside the transmission itself? It's now time to reassemble; the alignment tool provided has a pilot but, with nothing in the crankshaft, it is useless in being able to align the disk. Suggestions?
