HVAC Ducts and controls

Tonight I took apart my HVAC system to some extent. The list of problems needs toilet paper to write them on...

-All servos sound weak and operate slowly

-Recirc/Fresh air shutter doesn't operate; servo makes noise and will operate if you nudge it, albeit very slowly, but otherwise is just buzzes a bit and doesn't move.

-Blower only operates on "High" but the motor turns well -see below

-Entire system from intake to squirrel cage and beyond is FILLED with mouse nests. This is why the blower motor was making a jackhammer sound... I dont' know if it needs replacing, or if the controls need replacing because it only works on high. Is this the motor or the swith? Will the controls from a Cellica work? A Cressida? I really like the glossy faced ones with the temperature markings. Is there a vacuum connection on the control head? There seems to be but I can't pull it out very far to actually examine the back and I don't want to destroy anything.

-I need to know how to remove the lefthand large round HVAC vent; mine is broken beyond belief; knob fell into duct, grille is cracked; replacement on its way.

-Speaking of which, how do you get at the ducts in general so I can clean out the mess?

-Intake filters are shot, large one is missing, small one is crappy. Anyone have a solution for replacing these with something that actually filters rather than just screens? I have allergies to a variety of natural crap including lawn clippings... A filter would be appreciated!

-Lastly the A/C probably needs charging but fortunately I can do this easily since it's an R134 Conversion. Yay.

Edit: Hate to bump but I need answers!
