2nd Generation in desperate need of a good tuner...

i got a 91 mr2... just stuffed it with a few upgrades... greddy t78 turbo, xs power sd mount intercooler, stage 3 racing clutch, 12lb flywheel... problem is i just replaced my injectors with some venom 800cc injectors and now my car won't run properly and blows a lot of smoke and looks and feels like it might just blow up.. i've had it sitting for some time now and i was hoping some1 could refer me to some1 or somewhere where i can get my apex s-afc2 tuned properly b4 i blow out my engine.... i stay in souther california... LA to be exact....

well, honestly, i'd be VERY VERY careful with an SAFCII. anything that "tricks" the factory computer to do tuning can be highly disasterous. do you have an adjustable FPR?

Get a real stand alone EMS.
You shouldn't have any problem finding someone to tune them.

It's possible to use an SAFC with the turbo MR2 if you are very conservative ... however, there is no way on this planet I would ever attempt to use the SAFC to control injectors as big as 800s.

You are going to need an EMS or smaller injectors.

With either option, you are also looking at needing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as well.

i believe the earlier posters were trying to help you avoid blowing up your engine by trying to control the 800cc injectors with a safc/afpr combo.

you have a pretty big turbo and injectors that really need an EMS to properly control it.
