2nd Generation I need of a engine

Heya guz just recently my lil angle threw a rod and shot a hole threw the oil pan and totaly destroyed the engine and I was wondering that since the engine is gone and i had plans to try a swap out to the 2.0 turbo charged one anyway i wanted to know would that size engine fit in the non-turbo verson mk2 with no problem or would there be some real expesive cost to swap it out i mean if imma buy a new engine i might as well get the one i want if it will fit that is let me know wat u guyz have to say bout this problem

If you have a 2.2l NA MR2 you can swap in t he 2.0L turbo engine.
It fits in, however, to do it properly you are going to need:
*engine
*wiring harness
*turbo tranny
*ECU
*axles
*gauge cluster

You might want to look at www.paautoracing.com as they specialize in these swaps.

If you do not buy a whole 'clip,' I can almost gaurantee that you are going to have to hunt down more pieces.

For example, in the photo you linked to the intecooler is missing (and I am sure other stuff).
Also, it does not mention including the axles.

oh, just to clarify, you don't really *need* the gauge cluster, it's kinda fun burying redline on the n/a cluster with a 3SGTE.

and yes, buy a rear clip, it'll make everything a lot easier for you. PA Auto Racing, Chico Race Works, Jarco Inc., etc... will have them for you.

ya i dotn have a gauge cluster in my swap (i got a rear clip) it is hillarious maxing out the speedometer(140) at 5500 rpm's and my redline is 7500 looks hillarious
