Question

Bit confused?

Are you talking about?
Example:

Replacing your oem/factory (oil) strut assembly with a gas (say NAPA parts) cartridge, and wonder what kind of oil to put inside?

If this is it, a little 10w30 is fine, or whatever you have will do.

If you are talking about trying to repressurize the oem struts someway/somehow with oil, I dunno.

I used bilstein strut assembly when I changed out my struts. All I had to do was switch over the oem springs, boot, and top, along with some new sway bar links. It was SO MUCH EASIER, plus they look great.

NOTE: THESE DO NOT COME WITH THE NICE BLUE BOOTS, THEY COME WITH NO BOOTS...
GREAT PRICE THOUGH.

Sway Bar Links

No Picture of these, but each came with 2 new nuts, and the bars are thicker along the middle than the oem ones. No complaints.

use as light of an oil as you can find. it's usually 5W. the reason it's even in there is to help cool the strut. a heavier oil won't dissipate as well.
