does the wiper motor make a noise when you try to use the wipers?

Put the wipers on slow setting, pop the hood and watch and listen to the motor, if it twitches a bit, then it's most likely the linkage that is seazed. Try to spray wd-40 on the linkage and joints. Remove the platic covers near the wipers and spray inthere in the joints.

Hope this help, cause finding good used linkage is not easy and the dealer price is disgusting.

I have a spare wiper motor though....

good luck,

Martin

re

The motor is ok Martin. The linkage on the driver side is seized. The bolts on all of them are also corroded and snapped. I just finished cutting the driver side and was able to snap it off. Now I got one wiper adjusted to the middle......ricey...but it works.

Toyota quoted me $450 installed for the linkage and $170 to rebuild it. I will need to buy a longer wiper that will cost me $15.

Still got the LOTUS logo for me?
