Need Some Advice - Downpipe Install

Hey all. i recieved my downpipe last week and decided to install it last saturday. everything went smoothly removing the bolts from the cat to the B pipe. when i got up top to the turbo elbow to cat flange i managed to get nuts loose. some nuts came out with the studs and some studs remained in the turbo flange while the nuts came off. i then hit a wall. the studs are preventing the cat from being removed. a friend of mine went and wedged the elbow and cat between the studs and oil filter adapter trying to manhandle it out, tisk tisk. what would u guys do to get out of this situation. ive tried removing the studs with vice grips and they wont budge! such a simple install got so confuddled up lol.

Did you get the cat off of the elbow yet? Once all of the bolts are out it should fall right into your hands (or onto your face if you aren't careful). Did you remove the tranny mounts and the two bolts that run horizontally to the cat?? The worst part is the rust.... get some PB Blaster and soak the shit out of everything.... let it sit a day.... and go back to work.
