Recommended Shops/Dealers

Ok I'm preparing to take my vehicle in for service. Question now is I need to know if I should head for a Toyota Dealership or is there a Toyota specialist you guys would recommend for my 91 MR2. I am in the LA area I'm basically in the middle of Longo Toyota and Tustin Toyota. I'm willing to do a small drive out for better service and work. Price is an issue so I would like the cheapest price for the best quality possible. Thanks for your responses.

whole car checks. I went to Glendora and they gave me a quick free check with just a 10 dollar accessory purchase. The guy came out to just do a a quick visual look of the vehicle and listen to it he says its in great condition. I went over to Longo to have an oil change and their complentary inspection. Everything passed but the windshield (cracked) and the engine. they gave me a 700 dollar estimate to repair the seals on the engine. It only leaks like a quarter sized dot of oil everyday . Took them THREE HOURS to pin point where the oil leak was from. (I find it kinda stupid cuz they told me to replace every stupid seal and gasket anyways.)

But yea its all good! Driven like 500 miles already since the change (lol two days ago). It runs like a champ.

Most of the seals and gaskets are pretty easy to replace yourself. A few are a PITA but the rest are not. The seals themselves are not expensive, just the labor. You would probably be better off getting the manual and doing it yourself. Its not hard to do. You can find lots of ppl to help you, if not in here than you can go to www.club4ag.com if you dont know how to do something. You will find help one or the other. Good Luck

Don't go to the stealership unless you have to. Where would you rather go? La Habra, Irvine, Pasadena, El Monte? Tons of good shops out here.

5sfe... for the engine in my car...

i've gone to two dealerships for some check ups. I've already arrived back in seattle left cali last night... so far i've done 2000+ miles on the car in a week running it pretty hard. so I'm satisifed... from stockton to sacramento i was keeping up 100+. sad part was I got pulled over in north cali by highway patrol for doing 68 in a 65......... got let off with a warning and also told me i couldn't have tinted windows...
