Gen1 got fuel and spark but its still a no go!

heya guys , i just recently replaced the blown motor in my aw11 mr2 with another 4ag out of my previous one that my brother rolled . everything swaped in beautifully after replacing parts of the chassis harness i thought everything would be sweet and ide be driving it to school within the week . i finally got it to turn over and its getting power to the coil ...its getting spark ...and i checked the lines that go to the fuel rail and it getting gas but it still wont start!!! i also checked that the ECU was getting power and i checked my fuses ...i dont know anymore . i doubt its timing since i timed the engine 2 days b4 my lil bro rolled the older car....ahh...it ran great ....but ya ...if u guys have ANY clue ...please help..im tired of taking the bus ...i hope its something really obvious .

doesn't start is pretty vague.... wha kinda of no start?

no crank?
cranks but doesn't start?
start but doesn't run?
runs the dies?

did u just swap the motor.... or ecu? harness?

best thing is to assume no one is perfect and you made a mistake somewhere.
as a tech number one problem i find is human error.

did you pull a plug wire to make sure it's getting spark at the end of the wire? does it fire at all? do you hear pops out of the exhaust?

if you pulled the distributor out then put it back in there's a decent chance the timing is off (off by the teeth on the distributor)....

easiest way to check is to pull the exhaust cam cover and then set the motor at TDC for #1.... the mark should line up on the dizzy....

The motor cranks over fine ...im getting spark and fuel up to the rail i started the motor while it was in the old car the day before i did the swap. and it ran fine. unless i screwed up the timing while doing the swap i think its ok ...i bet its a wiring issue... :sigh:
