Yes, it is possible and very simple to do. You need to pull one wire out of the harness located behind the driver's side kick panel.

The Spyder's stock intake is a fairly good CAI design -- as the intake draws in air from space over the rear fender. I kept the stock airbox, replaced the stock air filter with an AFe drop-in filter, and replaced the 3" to 2.5" air inlet duct with a Spectre 3" flexible air inlet hose ($20 at PepBoys). The engine sounds a little deeper, but I can't prove any performance gains.
There seems to be a number of people on SpyderChat who claim very minor HP improvements from a CAI setup, but I haven't seen the dyno results to prove it. The
Weapon R products seem very popular.

There's a vendor on SpyderChat who produces an enclosure for an 8" subwoofer that fits above the driver's side kick panel (directly above the clutch).
