Unhappy power loss intervals. What can i do??

I have a 91' mr2 N/A, and its been having some power problems.
I'm not sure what it is but i'll do my best to explain:

1.It occationally drops rpm down to 500 and dies.
2. jerks if I go slow. @15 mph or slower.(this wounldn't be a problem if there were no speeding tickets in this world)
3.even while keeping a decent speed it occationally loses power than kicks back in again.

I took apart the carborator and cleaned that out and it seemed to help for a while but its still doing it. has anyone heard of this before? what can I do about it.

Is this a constant thing? It always acts like this? Before I had did my swap, my 5sfe acted like this on two occasions: first was if the engine got wet from rain.. but I would imagine this isn't your problem.. The only other time I had a problem similiar was when I had a diode go bad in my alternator and the fluctuating increased voltage threw my ECU for a loop.

My Celica's 5s-fe does something similar, and I, too, have wondered about it.

1. When the idle lowers and dies, is it after you have started the engine while it's still hot after a fairly long trip?

2./3. Is the engine cold? Are the revs somewhere in between 1K and 2K with sudden kidney pressure around 3K+?

If this describes your problem, I'd love to know how to fix it.

it has this idle problem when starting cold, and after warming up. it even does it when i'm driving sometimes. Its pretty scary sometimes. Does anyone think a in depth tune up would help the problem? And is replacing the fuel injectors dificult? thank you for your replys
