Heat Shield vibrates??

My '92 3sge heat shields vibrate (manifold shields) between 4000 - 5500 RPM. I have replaced the gearbox mount which was worn and checked all of the heat shield bolts but the virbation is still there. Has anyone ever found the cause for this problem??? Thanks

Remove the shield...you don't need it.....as for the cause of the vibration, maybe motor mounts are worn causing engine vibration,,,

i have no heat shields at all. i think they are reterted. cut it off. not only that. why are you reving it so high. stop revving the piss out of it. you can and proabably will suck up an exhaust valve. this happens.

The motor redlines @ 7000RPM, I don't think the occasion 5000RPM run will do much damage, maybe your thinking about your volvo??
