Ok i dont own a mr2 so i dont know much about them at all. My friend has one and its a non turbo. I was wondering if the turbo mr2s have the same engine as the non turbo. I have a ct26 turbo that i was gonna put on his car for him if it will work.

Turbo - 3SGTE
N/A - 5SFE

They're architecurally the same but the 3SGTE is built for serious boost and has a performance tuned head vs the 5SFE's economy tuned head. You can make the turbo setup work but you'd better make sure that his motor is healthy and you're very careful with tuning.
