what was the results on the compression test? what was the max psi what was the lowest? what was it for each cylinder? where did you check for spark on the car? at the plugs? coil? what kind of tester did you use? when you try to start the engine does it seem like the car is cranking faster, slower than before this problem. check all your air metering sensors, (mass air)(manifold absolute pressure) envern try your egr valve.

my uncle cheked the coil he took off the distributor cap the wires he also took a spark plug out and cheked something there. i know he was cheking for a spark. he told me i have compresion that the spark is ther. there gas going into the enigine. he couldnt figure it out. so we assumed its something electrical. someone told me it might be the timming belt i dont know. i guess i have no choice but to take it to a auto shop.

first you would have to go and but a compression tester. wich is like $200. then what you do is take out the plugs. disconnect the coil and fuel lines. screw in the tester to the plug hole of the cylinder you are testing. then crank the engine 8 times. basically 8 hits of the starter. the needle on the gauge will go up and give you a reading. or the cheap persons test wich is not very accurate but lets you know there is compression is. do all of the above but in =stead of using the tester put your thumb in the hole. just covering the hole trying to make a air tight seal. have someone else crank the engine. your thumb will be pushed off the hole. if that doesnt happen you gots a problem. if you choose to buy the tester then the good thing is that you can always sell it and make your money back easily.

take out each spark plug and crank the motor but do these one at a time to all of them. make sure everyone is sparking and a decent spark at that. some times you can have problems were you are getting spark but not enough. how does the starter sound when you crank it? does it sound like it is working hard?
