Question Axles

Does the 4agze trans share the drive axles with any other model? And how hard would it be to replace them yourself?
Thanks for all the help in advance.

Thumbs up

Glad to hear its not too hard. Any one know if their interchangable with other models?
If not maybe a good source for replacement parts.

good luck

the only car in the US to come with those axles was the s/c mr2 (n/a's are way different)... the turbo mr2 uses almost an identical trans, but the diff is different and axles are different...

non US.... the s/c corolla (non lsd) e51 and e58 uses the same axles.... but good luck finding them

no parts stores can get the axles (for manuals, at least), and toyota wants ~$500 per side (w/o the inner spline) and claims "we're not even sure we can get them"
