thanks for the offer, but im looking for something close to 3" or 3" exhaust. these are the ones im looking at.
1. apexi gt
2. apexi N1
3. Hks Hyper
4. Hks hi-power
5. berck tecnology 3" dual exhaust
now my question is, which one is the loudest and the quitest? and what would you people recomend. i really dont want something to loud.
i currently have the berk dual 3in on my car. i replaced your typical jdm single exit exhaust came on my clip. i am more than pleased. the berk is much quieter and has more of an upscale look. i see so many teenagers with these giant fart cans on their pos cars that imo the look is a bit played out. i think the dual looks a little more classy and stock on the mr2. also now i can talk on my cellphone at highway cruising speeds and even under moderate acceleration. with the single can, it was much tougher. also the single can sounded a lot raspier. the berk has a deep burble to it that reminds me of a wrx/sti with an exhaust. so..
buy the berk. for the price, a 2-3 month wait isnt bad. install is a major pita. i think the delay comes from them trying to correct the one hangar position. took me and 2 friends 3 hours or so to do the whole thing and the car was even on a lift.
ok, well thats what i was leaning towards. is getting the berk. thats what i want and if i have to wait 2-3 months then ill do it. thanks for telling what it sounds like and the little probleme with one of the hangers. i hope they will fix that. thanks again
I like the Garage Fukui. There is one for sale on www.mr2trader.com I think, as well as a Greddy PE which is also pretty nice. KO Racing makes the TKO.
yes both of those exhaust are kick ass. the only problem with the garage fukui and greddy power extreme is where i live. cops are just waiting for a car that has an exhaust like these. they sound sweet and perform well but to much is exsposed. other wise i would. i also have talked to the guy on mr2trader about the exhaust he has but he wants 900 for each exhaust. i dont have that kind of monery right now. just got the berk technology intercooler. so all i have is about 650 to play with.
I have the HKS Hyper and it is suprisingly quiet....
i cant even tell my car is on at idle >< its not excessively loud at full throttle either which i kind of like
really. i was looking at that one and i like it but from what i heard its kinda loud. but you say its not. what can you compare it to. stock or a little louder? would you be able to send a sound clip or pic of the rear of your car?
louder than stock, most certainly... i have a pic around here somewhere.... unfortunately i dont have a sound clip, but there are some on the internet... i think the madpsi site has (or had) a bunch of sound clips from different exhausts.... maybe someone could hook you up with a link, but for now the GF is bitching so if not, illl find it later

do you ever have a problem with scraping the exhaust going into a drive way or over a speed bump? because im looking at hks hyper, apexi n1, and berk tech.
I don't mean any offence to 430 HP toy, however there is a link at the quick links section that will dorect you to mad psi.net and they do have a couple of different exhaust types there to look at, and even a couple of sound clips. The car I am buying Friday has the 5zigen exhaust on it, it is single, and I h8 single... so I will be looking for some answers myself here.... originally I liked the greddy, however they do not make it anymore, go figure, all the things I want they always discontinue. I like the sound of the black car on madpsi.net, there is a video clip of it there. it sounds like he needs to replace the b-pipe as it sounds like something is loose, so if u ignore the looseness sound, it sounds quite nice.... And as far as your price, I dunno if any one can give u one at that price.. :0( sorry ma, however 430hp toy, my question to you is how much do u want for that hks?? And I believe that is dual on one side, I need 1 that is dual seperate sides

the exhaust is dual pipes, 1 on each side, just like the picture i posted above.
$499.99 for the HKS Turbo Catback
we also carry the KO Racing catbacks. they aren't posted on the site yet.

Well thats intriguing... I hope they are loud, and at that price, and that namebrand..... I dunno if I can go wrong with that. I just hope they are loud.... is that a sale price, or is it an ongoing price?
