if i were to turbo charge my 5sf3, how much would it cost and would it be difficult to do? would it be better than getting the turbocharged engine?

all you need is the 3sgte head... intake / exhaust manifold / turbo / intercooler w/ piping / ECM.

this is basic... for basic levels of boost.

i'm not sure of prices.

i know you can get an entire rear clip for a 3sgte for like 1500-2000 on ebay not including shipping

lol

well with that said your best bet is to have a shop do a turbo motor swap for you.

a head is a cylinder head. 3sgte head is the head that comes off the turbo model.

.....it will cost more then 2k to get a swap mine was about 5500$ (was more at the end because of upgrades) but yes this is a hell of alot better then upgrading a 5sfe there is to many little things you have to do to keep the power going and not blowing the engine

Yes . when u change the engine out, u have to change out the engine, tranny, and ecu..... not an easy task, but well worth the $$.U are in the situation where I was 5 years ago when I owned a N/A, and I wanted the turbo..... All the people asking me if it was turbo was really depressing, cause after u tell them no.... they walk away from the conversation... I opted to sell my N/A and buy a turbo car. Much easier, and less headache, however if u really like ur car, u would simply do the swap.considering the cost of a new car, and what u paid for yours, the swap is well worth the $$ and u get a story to add to your collection.
