2nd Generation Hard Cornering

So tonight I was corninging hard and I was feeling my steering really hard to turn... Like I had to give it more muscle than normal... Is this normal and OK? What might be causing this? was it just because I was at a high speed or is there something wrong with me car? any ideas?

If you have the factory power-assit steering, the power is on full blast at lower speeds and gradually goes away at higher speeds. If you are at enough speed, there is no power assist.

Outside temperatures are also getting colder, have you checked your tire pressures?
It's easy to lose a lot of pressure with cold temps and you maybe be trying to turn an underinflated tire.

I agree with Hyde.... that man has all the answers.... one more thing to add though......check the P/S fluids.... if the came with the option of P/S. And I believe that there is a fluid compartment

Hey thanks for the replies... Power Steering fluid is good and the tire pressure was good ('m a stickler about that) but I think it was my old tires... I got new ones yesterday and they grip well... and it might have been the power assist going away too... I was going quite quick... how fast exatly i duno.

but thanks for the input!
