you do not have the catallic converter on the car you will not pass smog or any emission test for that matter.

thats the entire purpose of a cat is to clean the exhaust gases.

wha can you do...?

well if visual is not a problem that means you must know someone that does smog. pay him to pass the car for you or get a cat and put it on

can i get a new cat and have it welded somewhere in the stock exhaust system after the downpipe? i know the exhaust system is a tight squeez for that type of mod but is it possable? i really dont wanna but back on the stock turbo cause thats alota labor and plus the turbo doesnt look so good.

i still don't get it...

if you removed the cat... you had to replace w/ something... like a test pipe... just remove the pipe and install a new cat... no welding necessary cause the cat bolts to the exhaust manifold

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? On the stock exhaust there is typically room for a high-flow cat. Most aftermarket exhaust have a short b-pipe that you could replace with a section that had a cat integrated. Otherwise, just put the stock cat back on for the test, although I recommend permanently running one of the high flow options if you can.

the reason that the stock cat is not on the car is that it wont bolt to the tdo6 turbo thats in the car already. sorry if i didnt mention that earlier. i just needed to know if i could fit a new cat in the system after the down pipe.

On a non turbo I'd say maybe... but no chance on the turbo without one.

Any custom exhaust shop can cut out a small section of pipe and put one in.
