Speedway MR2 RPM problems HELP!

hey im racing a 1990 ish MR2 with the 2.0 dohc turbo motor.

we run in 2nd gear and 1/2way down the straights the car seems to be hitting a limiter type problem (i think).

the problem only happens at high RPM but does not sound like a RPM limiter to me. It sounds like a rapid noise and will continue untill you lift your foot of the pedal.

the car is mildly tuned: its runs -
Link ECU
Large fuel system
exhaust system
10-12psi boost - manual controller
standard turbo.
all the rest is factory.

to me its sounds like its dropping a cylinder through soft valve springs but in am still unsure

was woundering if anyone else has had of heard of this problem

cheers

hmm

Are u sure your only running 10-12 psi?? depending on what state u are in u could be hitting fuel cut at higher boost..... especially if u have a boost creep issue??

i am all good now, i chucked on the dyno and found that it was running that much fuel at high rpm it was flooding the cylinder and not allowing the plugs to spark.

reason why this happend is because the car never was re-tuned when they changed to a smaller inlt restrictor!!

happy now.
