ok so my engine is acting strange. each time i turn the car on i have to give it a lot of gas so the RPMS wont reach 0 and even when the engine is hot it stills does the same thing.
And the turbo timer always resets. and if i am at a stop light and turn the A/C on the car goes from 1,600 rpms to 800 rpms and even sometimes turns off. so anyone has a idea??
Thx in advance...

I am not too sure, however my car idles at 1,000 - 1100 rpm's, without the a/c on...
it might have to do something with your throttle positioning sensor (tps) or u might need new spark plugs, or u might have bad gas, u might need a fuel pressure regulator, or a new fuel filter
what is a AFM car?? the fuel filter is almost new i replaced it like 3 months ago. I did put regular gas on it (83 octane) well it was my father that did it (dumbass ) but i put a octane bosster in maybe that could be the problem,i got new spark plugs today and still does it so dont know i will take it to the mechanic...

i thought you weren't supposed to put lower than 91 in a turbo car.
lower gas will cause pre-ignition in a turbo vehicle.
so a octane booster won't work. cause if you read one boost is equivalent to like .8 percent. so you would need like 10 of them to make a difference.
i would suggest... you drain that stale ass gas out and fill with the highest octane you can find and let it run for about an hour to get all that shit out
hey i solved the problem it was a Vac. hose that the previous owner had cut and shut close with silicone , the silicone fell off and that coused the problem so i shut it close with a metal cap. But Jeff you where right the hose goes to the intake...

Man u had it easy!!! I always check the easy stuff first...however if it makes u feel better... I posted this problem I had... which nobody ersponded to might I add, and thought it was my engine mounts making this clunk noise every time I would huit a small bump, or gave it throttle and let off fast...also when I started from 0 mph to start out in 1st gear it would make this creeeeek noise... turns out it was just the aftermarket air filter that was put in.. the bolt that holds it to the firewall, came loose, and it was clunking around.. go figure, ever since I always check the easy stuff first
LOL well i have had a grinding noise beneath my dash console(below the radio to be exact) if as 2 pieces of metal vibrate together and no mechanic has found where does it come from and the sounds become really loud under hard Accel. who knows what would it be until it finally brakes !!

turbo equals more air, compressed air.
higher the octane the slower the burn. you need a slower burning fuel to to make sure the entire mixture of the compressed cylinder burns. a cheap gas would cause the mixture to burn faster. and the higher combustion temperatures of a forced inducted car could cause the lower volitle fuel to burn on compression w/o spark causing pre-ignition
yes tHa kNiGHt FaLL that is all true, but he was not talking about having a probem while boosting. He was a having a problem while sitting still, trying to get the car to idle. The turbo is not making positive manifold pressure at that point so there is no need for a higher octane.
